Born in Nagaon , Assam, the artist obtained a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree from the Faculty of Fine Arts, M S University, Baroda. He obtained a Master’s degree in Fine Art from the Faculty of Fine Arts, M S University, Baroda. He has held solo shows at Gallery Beyond, Mumbai, at Indigo Blue Art, Singapore, M. E. C. Art Gallery, New Delhi, and at Gallery Art Resource, Germany. He has participated in prestigious group exhibitions such as the 51 Artists show at Lalit Kala Akademi, and 52nd National Exhibition of Art, of the Lalit Kala Akademi. Other group participations include, Octavalence, at Regional Centre, Garhi, Suruchi Art Gallery, La Galerie Akie Arichi, Paris, Palette Art Gallery, Jodhpur, Gopalan Contemporary Art, USA, 110th All India Art Exhibition, The Bombay Art Society, Mumbai, Annual art exhibition of MS University, Baroda, among others. He has been awarded the International Gold Star Award, Nepal, Bharat Jyoti Award , Vikas Rattan Award, and the All India Exhibition of Drawing Award, Punjab Lalit Kala Akademi. His works are in collections in Chandigarh, New Delhi, Baroda, NOIDA and Assam. The artist lives and works in Delhi.
