Jyotika Sehgal

National Awardee Jyotika Sehgal receiving the Award from the hands of H.E. the Governor of Tamil Nadu

Jyotika Sehgal:The National Award has been given to the most precious of my art creations, so you can imagine my happiness. For a time, I had decided not to include this very personal work for the competition . But I’m glad that I had sent it. The work will not only bring viewing pleasure to the people of Chennai but be a part of the works of the art fraternity of the Lalit Kala Akademi. As I am a teacher of art, this Award is also good for my students for it will encourage them to participate and work towards producing finer and qualitative works in the future
