“My figure work is drawn more towards abstraction. It is getting more distorted because my art is a symbolism of the destruction of present-day society in my home state of Assam. Even in Baroda, where I work now, the turmoil of the earthquake and other urban concerns reflect in my work. A single line across the serene palette reflects a metro line on one level and the destruction of society at another.”
